About Coach Purpose
Joseph Gause faced tremendous obstacles in his life, from living life with a learning disability to having post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), as well as going to war while serving in the U.S Army. Doubtful about his future and purpose, and after going though a divorce, Joseph was left with a feeling of hopelessness, doubt, fear and isolation. It was at that moment of despair that Joe discovered the key to his recovery and his purpose. That key was “ PUT YOURSELF FIRST “. This was the missing link in his entire life. The moment was like a bomb going off in his mind (he never did anything for himself). That day was the first day he actually looked at himself in the mirror and truly saw himself. Coach Purpose remembers counting all the people he helped before he would lift a finger to help himself. There were countless times he would want to do something for himself and would subconsciously say to himself, “I don’t deserve it”, yet he would make sure the people around him received the very best of him. He was living a complete lie and the worst part was, he was lying to himself. It was at that moment that Coach Purpose gave himself the greatest gift, self-accountability. He took out a pen and pad wrote down all the things he neglected within himself, and the list was long. Joseph called this list the “the blueprint of self-improvement”. With this blueprint he founded his organization, Purpose and Resilience. This organization allows Coach Purpose to spread the importance of putting yourself first. He was able to be open and honest about his food addiction and how it controlled his life for years. Now Coach Purpose spreads the word of how you can effectively heal be putting yourself FIRST!
My why is very simple. I want each and every person within the sound of my voice to understand the importance of putting themselves first. Putting yourself first is not a bad thing, actually it’s a good thing. It frees the people around us to to live their lives more abundantly and to love themselves more. The people around us are not responsible for our own happiness. Putting yourself first ends this cycle of attention seeking behavior that plagues us in this modern day. It allows us to be present in our own lives and to show up purposeful and determined to change the things within ourselves. It helps us to not look for things outside of ourselves and instead, heal by putting ourselves first and accepting the sole responsibility of our healing. Our journey is in our own hands and that's where it should be. The moment we put ourselves first we will realize the happiness that we’ve been seeking for so long and for so many years has been Inside of us all along.

My Why
What is my mentorship program all about?
The purpose of my mentorship program is to help you on your journey of self-improvement and to understand the importance of putting yourself first. My mentorship program does not focus on talking about the past and how it hurt you, but it’s focus is talking about the past and how to use it to push forward in your future. It's about learning to become a better you for yourself and no one else. The program teaches how to put yourself first and make your presence known, even in the most uncomfortable situations. It’s learning to say no when you used to say yes so easily in the past . I am not here to say that my way is the only way. I'm not here to shame you for making the mistakes in the past. I'm here to help you get over the past and make better decisions in the future. The future where you are the center of the universe, where you know the exact feeling of being the center of your own life. My mentorship is about putting you first.
